Updating a new Windows 7 machine

Having issues updating a new windows 7 machine?  Try the steps below.

From a fresh Win7 SP1 install, these are the ones to install in order to get the Windows Update ball rolling:

KB3020369 https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/3020369 

KB3138612 https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/3138612 

KB3145739 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=51853 

KB3172605 https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/3172605 

In that order.
These should be run when the PC is offline and the windows update service must be stopped before and after each update.
