Run an application as a different user

  1. if the user is logged in, log off user's account
  2. log in with an admin account
  3. open the properties on the relevant shortcut
  4. append the target with the following runas /user:<DOMAIN>\<USERNAME> /savecred replacing <DOMAIN>\<USERNAME> with appropriate details, <DOMAIN> can also be replaced with the PC name 
  5. save the shortcut
  6. log off the admin account
  7. log back in with the user's account
  8. open the shortcut, it will open up a black box
  9. enter the admin password, note that it will not show hashes during typing
  10. close application and reopen, it shouldn't prompt for password second time around
