Morning Checks - Process

Morning Checks process:

  • Check Servers: 
    • Check the servers in the Morning Checks group on logmein to see if any of them are offline.
    • If they are offline, log a ticket for this and then see the article Morning Checks - Server Offline to help resolve the issue.
  • Check Voicemails:
    • If we got any voicemails since 6pm yesterday, check them and log/ update a ticket as required.
    • Forward the voicemail email to support@ with the action that has been taken.
  • Check Emails:
    • Have a look at the emails that came into support@ since 6pm yesterday
    • Log / update the tickets for them as required.
  • Check Tickets: 
    • Check the helpdesk for any Urgent/ time critical tickets that have come in since yesterday
    • Deal with the urgent ones, otherwise come back to them once you have completed the morning checks
    • Assign any unassigned tickets
  • Check Naverisk:
    • Log/ update tickets for any backup failures
    • Log/ update tickets for any other issues, fix the urgent ones, such as services having stopped or servers being down
  • Check Ahsay:
    • Log into the Ahsay OBS
    • Go to Manage Log -> Backup Job
    • Check the job status of the backups from today and last night by changing the date in the drop down at the top
    • Log any tickets as required
    • If they are blocks customers then we do not manage their backups, if the backups fail a few days in a row let the customer know and ask if they would like to use some of their blocks for us to investigate.

Once these have been completed work on any tickets that you need to and fix any backup issues, be sure to look at the other knowledge base articles and old tickets when doing so.
